Guelph Youth Theatre Academy Policies

Registration & Payment

Our classes run from September-June. You are registering your child for the full session.

 

You will be invoiced at the start of the session for the full fee OR invoiced bi-monthly starting at the end of September. Your 10% non-refundable registration deposit will be deducted off the total session fee. Invoices can be paid by credit card or e-transfer to guelphyouththeatreacademy@gmail.com. Outstanding payments may result in a participant losing their spot in class.

Late registrations are welcome based on availability, and cost for the remainder of the session will be determined by the time of registration. 

​

GYTA does not provide refunds for our classes. This includes classes missed due to illness, vacation, etc. We will not provide refunds for classes cancelled due to inclement weather or emergency circumstances. 

​

If you wish to withdraw your child from the program, GYTA will not refund payments already made for past or future classes. 

​

Inclusion

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all students. We honour that our students come from different backgrounds. We will ensure that students receive equal opportunities regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, etc. 

 

We have a zero tolerance policy for bullying/discrimination/harassment. We reserve the right to remove any participant from our classes if they are exhibiting these behaviours.

Media

By enrolling your child for our programs, you are consenting for their image to be used in still photographs or videos on the Guelph Youth Theatre Academy website, Instagram, and/or Facebook page. Please contact us if you do not consent.

Guelph Youth Theatre Academy will keep participant's personal information confidential and will only use it for contact purposes. 

​

Injury/Illness

By enrolling your child in our programs, you are assuming the potential risks that come from participation in physical activity including dance.  Guelph Youth Theatre Academy and our instructors are not responsible for injury, illness, or loss/ damage to personal belongings that occur in our programs or on the premises of our programs. 

​

For the safety of your child, all instructors will be certified in First Aid/CPR.

​

A participation waiver will be sent and must be signed before the start of the first class.
